Ok I'm going back 55 or so years when I started wargaming after I have been to the library and got out Donald Featherston's book War Games .Now I had a book with rules in it so started using my Airfix ACW figures . Looking for more to do painted up Airfix Napoleonic Scots . Off down to the local model shop and got some more paint .Man behind the counter what you want it for? to pain my Napoleonic figures I said .We now stock Hinchliffe figures he said want to have a look ?
There nice shiny I have to have them . Well as wargames you now what comes next .
Having painted most of them 50 plus years a good most would not be up to the scratch you would paint to day but they still move ok in a wargames table .
Most figures are Hinchliffe with Minifigs one regiment of foot is Prince August.
All but one Regiment had been paint by my shelf but the Regiment of Royal Marines was Andy's and I was give them by his wife after he past a way back in the 70s
I have replaced all the Flags as the old ones have faded .
Sir, that is a thing of beauty, thank you.. I tried counting. There must be almost 900 minis there. You must not have a cat.
ReplyDeleteHow long did it take to set up?
Just under a day to set up most of the time was dusting then and sorting out new flags
DeleteWell done. And a true statement about old figures on the table working just as well. Most of my armies in 25mm are MiniFigs. Long may they reign!
ReplyDeleteYour dead right old figures work just as well as new one keep up the good work
