25mm British 15th Hussars

25mm British 15th Hussars Having painted my 15th Hussars back in the 70s in a unit of 24 to match all other Cavalry in my Napoleonic’s armies I know a bit on the big side ( Infantry units 50 men 3 officers 3 drummers and 1 or 2 standards and 2 NCO as well may be a bit over the top in this day and age). When club members pass on to the big wargams table in the sky and have left a few figures most wargams clubs will auction the odd box of figures and you tend to buy them at more then the face value . Not until you get them home and have a good look to see what you have paid for . Yep more Hussars put them to one side 30 odd years later think ill paint them one good thing there all Hinchliffe figures same as the ones I have painted. Now got a standard bearer in the first lot I painted cant have two In the same unit I know make him end of line marker bearer give him a red pennant . 39 figures in that unit that help to even the odds on the French Cavalry 20 to Allied 18 so far .Ho for my 20 foot table .

25mm English Civil War Ironsides

25mm English Civil War Ironsides 30/40 Years a go splashed with my hard-earned pocket money out on a lot of Hinchliffe ECW Figures sitting in my toy box /cupboard . The last lot of ECW figures I painted was back in July 2016 . In June this year a phone call from Mike my best friend said he was started to paint his ECW figures that like my shelf had lots from 30/40 years a go. No why did I not paint any Cavalry that what I said to my shelf when I started to paint them I had used all the horses for my Napoleonic’s . Just a few more to paint Cuirassiers

WWII Battle for the Post Road Part 4

WWII Battle for the Post Road Part 4 The more that we read in the invasion of Russia in 1941 the more idea’s we get as war gamers so for this game units of the Russian army that have been cut off strike back and try to close off the post road. German side mostly trucks and wagons (Would be if I could find them all only found one ) as most war gamers will know a very large part of the German army logistics was horse drawn . Staff cars in to the mix and Artillery moving helps to slow movement down. As for Armour yes 34t but they had a bad dice throw. Russians Partisans and a few regulars and a small cavalry unit
