Brunswick Lancers 25mm
Brunswick Lancers 25mm Hincliffe figures And the rest of the army
2 Years a go one of my friends sent me a Christmas parcel of 12 Hincliffe Brunswick lancers but with no horses . The last two years going round the bring and buy stalls manage to pick up a few and with the few I have of my own started to paint them last October with oil paint put them on the window ceil to dry .Then in late November painted the figures . The last thing we do is base them up .Then the penny dropped may be the Brunswick army needed being re flocked o yes it did after 50 years since last being done .

Amarante battle For the bridge
Amarante battle for the bridge
Not too often can I say that standing in a place of a battle in the Napoleonic wars.
Having stopped on a trip to a vineyard in Portugal the coach was running 30 minutes early for the arrival time at the vineyard so all off the coach. The guide walked us up to the Church with a bridge next to it and said in the Napoleonic war this side of the bridge was held by the Portuguese for some time , The walls of the church you can see marks in the wall from French gun fire.
