Anglo Danish v Saracens SAGA game at WAR

Anglo Danish v Saracens
Mike wanted to try out his Saracens at the club ok ill use my Anglo /Danes .
Mike was hoping that I would use the Romans as he said he wanted to use his Naphtha on my Cataphracts .No way he's not cooking my Cataphracts Ill just use my girls .
Bit of a slow game as Mike has to get used the SAGA board .

  I managed to cut down his some of his infantry and cavalry with my bows and then taken on his Hearthguard with my Hearthguard  . Mike had two hits with his Naphtha. Most of my dice was poor in this game so manage to lose it by 3 points after the 6 moves.

Started to dust of some of my French figures after 3days got most of it off.
Then started on the lancers they do not travel well form the moving house very well still found most of them .Line and Cavalry flags next most have slipped down the pole but other one deeded to be replaced .I remember when I started to paint them 50 odd years a go with just a Blandford book to use then came a long Ospreys books .Most of the figures are Hinchliffe or Minifigures one or two odd ones there in them. Like most wargames at the time we used to buy the figures from the local model shops( my local one stocked Hinchliffe )  but if you did not order them in advance you only got what was left in the shop at the time. So one week you have 10 figures or more to paint then a few weeks later a few more to make up a regiment. One way I got over that was drive down to Minifigs in Southampton on a Saturday from Reading to buy a full Regiment of figures.  Most need to have there bases re done after 50 years or so .
