WWII Battle for the post road part 3
This is a small village of the post road the Germans hope by taking it to stop Russian reinforcements
getting to the next Town on the post road.
Setting up the game this week I tried to give Mick who is playing the Russians a very good field of fire for his tanks and guns so this is one of the most bear tables that over 30 years we have played on.

Stilling down having a cup of coffee and looking at my lawn I have to cut it for a second time this week.
No got a better idea what would the newly painted ACW figures look like in the grass . Well its better then spending 2hrs cut the grass .Come on how many Wargamers  have want to do it with the wife and children running round we could not .

WWII Battle for the Post Road Part 2

This is the second battle for the Post road. German forces to take the town and post road
Russian forces to stop them
Luftwaffe have Bombed it and taken photos

 

German plan is to flanking moves to take the town Pz I Pz II with Pz Jager on the left flank

 35T 38T on the right flank Infantry 2 company to support the Pz.

Pz III Pz IV and Recon units to be used when needed

Russians Have been given a HMG and LMG company three company's of infantry with light tank support .

 Lots of Russian ant tank rifles making holes in my 35T and 38T

 Pz I Pz II now out gunned on the left flank

 Germans now have a few of the houses

 Pz Jager I trying to give support to the  light tanks

Game over as Germans hold most of the town and both flanks infantry and light tanks causality's high.

Russians have lost less infantry but there light tanks most have been  destroyed.

Still have not met any KV1 or II yet and not looking forward the seeing any T34.
